Marlyn Farmer is a nurse by profession, but has always had a keen interst in local politics and government. 

Cardee Kilpatrick was a member of the old Athens City Council and later was elected to the new unified government. Cardee is know for her interest in education and neighborhoods. 

Doc Eldridge is a long-time Athenian who has a knack for getting along with folks. Doc is rumored to be the horse to beat in the next mayorial election 

Bob Snipes is an Assistant Manager who has a strong engineering background. Bob has been instrumental in keeping Athens supplied with water 

Ken Jordan is a former director of the UGA physical plant who found a strong interet in local government after retiring from the university 

Hugh Logan has the most experience in govenment of any of the commissioners having served in the General Assembly, in the old city govenment and now as a unified government commissioner.
